This gripping Netflix series, based on true events, chronicles the longest hijack in the history of Indian aviation.

Previsualization played a pivotal role in planning and executing the shots. By visualizing the desired outcome, the team could design shots that effectively built tension, enhanced storytelling, and created a gripping viewing experience. Despite having a real Airbus A300 which was used for live shoots, our team opted to create a fully digital replica. This decision was driven by the pursuit of perfection and the desire to push the boundaries of visual storytelling. The CG aircraft not only surpassed its physical counterpart in terms of realism but also offered unparalleled flexibility for creative exploration. Every aspect of the Airbus A300, from the subtle nuances of its weight distribution to the intricate details of its cockpit, was meticulously recreated in the digital realm. To ensure accuracy and realism, we conducted extensive research on the aerodynamics of the Airbus A300, paying particular attention to the behaviour of its wings in various flight conditions. The reflections of light on the plane’s interior and cockpit were painstakingly simulated, ensuring an immersive and authentic experience for viewers.

To accurately portray the airports of Kathmandu, Dubai, Lahore, and Amritsar as they appeared in the 1990s, we embarked on a virtual time travel. Using cutting-edge CG techniques, we meticulously recreated these historic landmarks, capturing the essence of their past while avoiding the logistical challenges of filming in these sensitive locations.

One of the most demanding scenes involved intense fog at Amritsar Airport. To bring this atmospheric effect to life, we delved into the intricate science of fog formation and its interaction with light. Through detailed analysis and experimentation, we crafted a visually stunning and accurate representation of this challenging weather condition to show the drama when the plane interacts with the fog.

The Dubai landing shots, with their dazzling array of lights, presented a unique challenge. We carefully balanced the realistic depiction of a night sky with the cinematic elements that enhance the visual appeal. This delicate interplay of light and shadow was essential for creating a captivating and memorable atmosphere.

The use of anamorphic lenses added a distinctive cinematic quality to the series. To ensure a seamless transition between live-action and CG elements, our team conducted extensive research to understand the unique characteristics of these lenses and their behaviour in a digital environment.
